Korean National Holidays 2022

Korean National Holidays 2022

Korea’s COVID-19 cases are decreasing with the observance of strict social distancing regulations. While the country remains open to travelers from most departure countries with a mandatory 10-day quarantine upon entry, we believe that, provided the level of new cases remains manageable, an easing of entry guidelines could soon be in sight.

With or without quarantine requirements, planning a business trip to Korea always requires careful planning to find the perfect dates. Because a trip that spans a holiday may cause problems for reservations or scheduling important meetings, we would like to provide a list of the national holidays that you may want to avoid when planning a business trip to Korea.

2022 Official Korean Holidays

* The dates listed here are based on the 2022 calendar year. Seollal, Chuseok, and Buddha’s birthday are based on the lunar calendar, therefore the dates of these holidays change every year.

** Dates in (parentheses) are substitute holidays designated by the government when the original holiday date falls on a Saturday or Sunday.
